National Apprenticeship Program

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently awarded a $6 million grant to NRWA for further development of its National Apprenticeship program. Edna Primrose, USDA Assistant Administrator for Rural Development's Water and Environmental Programs, announced this award to NRWA for workforce development in the water industry that will assist in providing rural America with clean, reliable water resources. SCRWA is looking forward to implementing the Apprenticeship Program here in South Carolina. Ken Cox was recently hired as the Workforce Development Coordinator. FUNDING

Grants Assist Communities by Improving Infrastructure

The SC Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) has approved grant assistance for 27 communities, totaling more than $12 million, to strengthen water, sewer and storm water infrastructure and open doors for economic opportunities across the state.  Read more .

NWRA Announces Savings Engine

National Rural Water Association (NRWA) has launched the Aqkwa Savings Engine to provide consumers with an interactive, personalized online tool to help save water, energy and money. Learn more  here
