Call for Presentations and Award Nominations
SCRWA is now accepting abstracts and award nominations throughout the year - not just prior to events.  
  • Call for Presentations - If you are interested in speaking at any of our 2018 events, download the Call for Presentations form here. Deadlines for completed abstracts vary according to event. 
  • Award Nominations - Do you know of someone who has gone above and beyond and deserves to be recognized? If so, why not nominate him/her for one of SCRWA's eight Awards of Excellence. Awards will be announced during the Awards Luncheon at our 2018 Annual Conference on Wednesday, September 12 in Myrtle Beach. State Revolving Fund
The State Revolving Fund is hosting an application workshop on How to Access SRF Financing on Thursday, February 15 in Columbia. Check-in for the workshop begins at 9:00 with the workshop running from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. Although the workshop is free, registration is required. Public Assistance: Rebuilding Communities After Disasters (Part 1)
Wednesday, February 14 at 3:00 pm (EST) 

About the Series: The Public Assistance program is a federal disaster grant assistance program for state, tribal, territorial, and local governments, and certain types of Private Non-Profit organizations that provides assistance for debris removal, life-saving emergency protective measures, and the repair, replacement or restoration of disaster damaged publicly-owned facilities, and facilities of certain PNP organizations. Additionally the PA program also encourages protection of these damaged facilities from future events by providing assistance for hazard mitigation measures during the recovery process. This training series will provide an overview of the PA Program and eligibility for this type of financial assistance.

Source Water Display
Nick Rubin, SCRWA's Source Water Specialist, has set up a display in the Dorchester County Library in St. George for the month of February. The display is part of a Source Water Protection Plan that the St. George water department is implementing.
Rural Water Gives Hope to Puerto Rican  Utilities Without Water for Months    
A water system in Naranjito, Puerto Rico had been without water for over 100 days when NRWA arrived to assess the system. Read the full article  here .






College of Charleston Research Study
The College of Charleston is conducting a research study of water and wastewater employees in South Carolina.
