The book fair will also be open after the 4PM Mass on Saturday, March 23 and after the 9AM and 11AM mass on Sunday, March 24 . Family Night is Tuesday, March 26 from 4PM-6PM. 

Also, an exciting new payment option is being offered during this year’s book fair—Book Fair eWallet. No cash on hand the day of the book fair? No worries—just go directly to www.scholastic.com/fair , select our school, set up an account, and add money to your student’s “ewallet.” You will only be charged the amount that your student actually spends at the bookfair (students cannot spend over the amount the parent designates). For example, if a parent puts $25 in a student’s account and the student only spends $20, the parent will only be charged $20. Visit www.scholastic.com/fair and set up your account today!
Summer is quickly approaching which means it is time to start getting your children registered for summer camp! SCS Summer Camp is offered for all entering Pre-K4 through entering 7th grade students. There will be a camp registration table at the co-op meeting Thursday, March 21st, where you can turn in registration forms or checks and have questions answered. Registration paperwork and more information are available on the parish website ( https://scschurch.com/news/scs-summer-camp-information ). You are also welcome to continue to turn in registration forms through the school or parish office. For any questions or concerns, please contact camp@scschurch.org.
Join us for our next Co-Op meeting Thursday, March 21 . Social starts at 7:00 pm and meeting starts at 7:30. 

We will be accepting nominations for the 2019-2020 Executive Board and will vote on revisions to our bylaws. Please visit https://scsgators.org/co-op to review the proposed changes prior to the meeting.

The Mother/Son Event is Sunday, March 31st for 4th-7th grade.
 
 



  • Mass at St. Louis Cathedral at 11am (reserved seating for mothers and sons)
  • Lunch at the Omni Royal Orleans (621 St. Louis Street) at 12:30pm
  • Lunch will be an Etiquette Class put on by Chef Tom Wolfe. He will walk through from start to finish on etiquette of dining out and table setting, etc.
  • 3 Course lunch $70/mother son and $35 for additional son
  • Cash wine and champagne bar available
  • Parking for both church and luncheon available at Omni for $10.00.

Distinguished Alumni Nominations

The Office of Catholic Schools has asked each Catholic school to nominate a Distinguished Alumni. The graduate will be recognized by the Archbishop during an award ceremony. If you would like to nominate an SCS graduate for the Distinguished Alumni Award, please email our principal, Mrs. Kilroy, at kkilroy@scsgators.org providing the name, graduation year, and briefly sharing why you have nominated this person.

  The Distinguished Alumni Candidate must meet the following criteria:
  • Be a graduate of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School
  • Have achieved significant recognition or accomplishment in their chosen field (business, academic, military/government, the arts, etc.), community service, parish school or parish service.
  • Lives out Catholic Identity within their community.
Dear St. Catherine family,
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, the day after Mardi Gras. How are you going to journey through Lent with your family? Are you going to give up something that’s important to you? Are you going to add something to your day that will help draw you closer to God. In our busy world things have to be planned or easily accessible. Hopefully the resources below can help you. 

1)  A colorful calendar that walks you through the 40 days of Lent. You could place this somewhere in your house (frig or kitchen table) for all to view. It will help you keep track of the things you are doing each day. You can draw a cross or place a sticker each step/day when you have done what you have chosen to do for God.

2)  Lenten Adventure is a free website that has daily activities for you and your family.  Click here for more suggestions.

Dear St Catherine of Siena Parent:

We are pleased to inform you that First Bank and Trust and St Catherine of Siena School will partner for the 2019-2020 school year for the management of tuition and fees. First Bank and Trust offers a convenient, secure portal for the one-time payment of tuition and fees or for the financing of tuition and approved fees with a First Bank and Trust tuition loan. The following are some important highlights regarding your payment options.
 
Easy Online Sign-Up : If you are new to the First Bank and Trust website, https://tuitionportal.fbtonline.com you will need to create a User ID and password by clicking “I want to Register” on the sign in page of the website. If you are an existing user on the website, you will only need your login ID and password to set up your student(s) for the 2019-2020 school year. Instructions for navigating through the website are included with this communication. 
 
Payment Options : St. Catherine of Siena’s Tuition, Out Of Parish Fee , Supply Fee and Building Use Fee will be programmed on the FBT website. The online payment of tuition and fees will be accepted via a one-time bank draft or with a credit or debit card. If you choose to use a credit or debit card, a 2.99% convenience fee will be added to the total amount charged to the card. There is no fee for the automatic bank draft. You may elect to finance your child’s Tuition and Out of Parish Fee with a (10) month tuition loan through First Bank and Trust, however the Supply Fee and the Building Use Fee cannot be financed and is due in full by May 15, 2019. 
 
Financing Option and Loan Terms : If you choose the financing option, you may set up a (10) month tuition loan no later than May 15, 2019, by logging into the bank’s secure web portal. The annual percentage rate on the tuition loan for St. Catherine of Siena School is 7.5%. This rate is fixed over the school term and there is no pre-payment penalty if you decide to pay the loan off early. In addition, there is no pre-qualification and no credit check required for the applicant(s). If completed by the May 15 th deadline, your ten month tuition loan will fund on June 1, 2019 and monthly payments will begin in July 2019. An annual fee of $35.00 will be assessed on the funding date of your loan and billed on your first statement.
 
Convenient Automatic Payments: If you choose to finance tuition, you will be required to set up automatic bank drafts for the monthly tuition loan payments. You may choose a payment due date of the 3 rd or the 15 th of each month. A $25.00 fee will be charged to your account for any payment returned by your bank and FBT will notify you of when the payment will be re-processed. If a returned payment results in a delinquent status on your account, an additional $15.00 will be assessed.  
 
Beginning in March, the First Bank and Trust website will be open and available for you to review your options and to make payment selections. Cafeteria News

The SCS Hot Lunch Program does not allow students to charge the school when money is not available in their lunch account.  

No food or drink from outside establishments are allowed in the cafeteria.

The HOT LUNCH program will no longer accept cash starting in January.
