Operation Rice Bowl Week 3 !
What is that?
Catholic Social teaching inspires and guides us on how we are to live and work in the world. Lent is a good time to focus on these teachings. During Lent we should do the following:
1)     PRAYER
2)     FASTING
3)     ALMSGIVING - is when we give to those who have less than us.
There are so many people in other countries who need help. Many people are hungry, have no education and no place to call home.
So our St Catherine of Siena Community has decided to join with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and participate in Operation Rice Bowl. This is not a Competition among the classes. This is a Lenten activity.

We are encouraging the children to earn that money or give up something in order to have money to place in the boxes in their classrooms.
As Catholics we are called to answer the Gospel through our actions. Let’s encounter Lent together and each do our part!
