“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Psalm 56:3

Dear SCS Community,

As you may know, Governor DeSantis recently extended the school closure mandate through the end of this 19-20 school year in the state of Florida. In an abundance of caution, and to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, staff and families, we will continue our remote learning plan through the end of this school year.

While we are deeply saddened to not to be able to join together on the SCS campus this spring, we are highly encouraged by the incredible way in which you, the families and faculty of Sarasota Christian, have come together. In a time of unprecedented challenges and transitions, you have shown incredible support and resilience. As a result, Sarasota Christian continues to be a source of excellence for faith-filled education in our community.
Please note this important information regarding our May school calendar: due to the state's requirement for instructional days, we will need to add school days onto the end of our school year. Since we took an additional week after spring break to prepare for the transition to remote learning, we will need to make up four of those days in order to meet the state's requirement. Note that we will still take off Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day, but Friday, May 29 will now be our last day of school.

We want to assure you that we are committed to honoring our graduates. Although celebrations may look a bit different this year, we will do everything we can to acknowledge the incredible accomplishments of the class of 2020. More information regarding the end of year celebrations across the grade levels will be forthcoming.

As you have questions, please refer to the SCS Remote Learning Resource Center for information, resources, and Frequently Asked Questions.

Again, we thank you for your support of SCS.
