SCSA TRAINING SERVICES

Classes have been filling up fast. Registrations are now being accepted for some June and July classes, including:

  • Safety Management
  • Safety Auditor
  • Leadership for Safety Excellence

SCSA members pay $50 for one-day classes and $100 for two-day classes.

SCSA CONSTRUCTING SAFETY LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Grow leadership and supervisory knowledge on April 21 & April 28 at the Constructing Safety Leadership Conference

ADVISORY SERVICES UPDATE: LEGISLATIVE CHANGES
In response to member requests, Jason Wall from the Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety will be making a presentation online about recent legislation changes on Wednesday, April 6, 2021, for Webinar Wednesday.

FALLS FROM LADDERS

Most injuries from falls from ladders have the following root causes:

  • Equipment failure
  • Fell from ladder
  • Slip from ladder
  • Carrying an item up/down a ladder 
  • Hit by object
  • Jumped off a ladder

The construction industry funds the Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) to provide cost-effective, accessible safety training and advice.  The SCSA aims to reduce the human and financial cost of injuries.  Registered March 22, 1995, the SCSA is, since inception, committed to injury prevention. Today the SCSA serves almost 10,000 member companies.  

The vision of the SCSA is to create the Safest Construction Environment in Canada through its mission of Constructing Safety Leadership.  

Companies registered with Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) and who fall under the CLASS B – BUILDING CONSTRUCTION rate code are automatic members of the SCSA.
