RESPECTING WORKZONES
Based on feedback from member companies, the SCSA made a number of public messages in the month of August aimed at reminding motorists to slow down in the orange zone and avoid talking on cell phone, texting and reading while driving. Hundreds of incidents in workzones and in many cases SCSA members are inches away from a serious injury..

SEPTEMBER TOOL BOX TALK: GUARDRAILS
Falls from heights continue to be one of the leading causes of serious injuries and fatalities in Saskatchewan workplaces. This toolbox talk discusses relevant sections of the Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and provides advice on guard rails, wire rope guardrails and use of toeboards. DID YOU KNOW? SCSA FALL PROTECTION TRAINING
The SCSA offers Fall Protection training with a practical, hands-on method of delivery. Participants will inspect and put on a fall protection harness in the class. T his course may be eligible for BCRSP CPD points through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety professionals ( www.bcrsp.ca ) as well as Continuing Education Units through the Sask Operator Certification board ( http://saskocb.ca/ceu-evaluations ).
