NEA-RA Election Candidates


SCTA has been allotted 16 NEA-RA delegate positions, This election will be conducted by confidential electronic voting March 6 – March 12, 2024.

Krissie Goetz


I’m a leader within our local as well as the service center. I am also on our bargaining team. Please allow me to represent you at 24 NEA RA!

Nafeesah Young


I have served as the PPS director and SCTA scholarship chairman for several years. I was proud to represent SCTA last year during the NEA/ RA and I would be honored to represent SCTA again this year. Vote Nafeesah Young for your NEA/RA delegate.

David Fisher


In addition to proudly serving as First Vice President of SCTA I represented SCTA members as site rep for 17 years been involved in bargaining since 2004. I’ve been an NEA delegate 7 times and would love another opportunity to represent the educators of SCTA at our NEA Representative Assembly.

Angelia Brye Jones


My name is Angela Brye Jones and I teach 5th grade at Parkway Ele . I have had the opportunity to represent our union at the RA several times. I advocate for you, our scholars, and communities and will continue with your vote . Please allow me to represent SCTA once again!

Owen Jackman


I am currently your ABC District E representative. I have been teaching Special education in SCUSD for 20 years I am currently at Umoja International Academy. I would be honored to represent you in Philadelphia.

Barrett Drawdy


I’ve served as a site rep and as a member of the bargaining team for about 8 years. Last year was my first NEA-RA. I was inspired by the work we did there. Please vote for me so I can continue to represent SCTA on the national level.

Stephen Stark


I am a voice for Special Education and have had the privilege to participate in State Council twice as an alternate. As a dedicated educator and student advocate, it would truly be an honor to serve at the national level as a local delegate to the NEA-RA.

The NRA RA is an inspiring gathering of thousands of educators from all over the United States who meet to democratically set the policy of our National Education Association. I would be honored to represent you at this assembly. Please elect me as one of your representatives.

Fernando Rodríguez


I am a math teacher at Hiram Johnson High School. Being a union representative these past few years has taught me the importance of communicating with members clearly. I would appreciate your support in representing our membership on a national level.
