SCTPO, Space Coast Area Transit Complete
Bus Stop ADA Assessment
The SCTPO recently completed an ADA Assessment of bus stops in Brevard in partnership with Space Coast Area Transit. The assessment looked at each bus stop and provided recommendations to bring the bus stop up to compliance.

The SCTPO and Space Coast Area Transit both have developed various transit related plans. Some of these plans are required and others help with transit planning.

The SCTPO also works to include various transit elements and plans in its plans/documents such as the Bicycle/Pedestrian Master Plan and the Long Range Transportation Plan.

Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan Open House
The  Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization  (SCTPO) is currently in the process of updating its Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (BPMP). The plan provides the framework to create a connected system of bicycling and pedestrian facilities that serve the needs of Brevard County’s residents and visitors.

The SCTPO will host three more open houses to encourage residents to share their input, provide feedback on proposed projects, and learn more about the SCTPO and the transportation planning process. Each meeting is an open house format running from 5:00-7:00 pm.

Don't miss your chance to provide input at the following events. Click on the event link for more details:

Event Feature: The SCTPO's Transportation Program Manager, Steven Bostel, recently hosted a table asking attendees to give input on the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan at the Tourism and Transit Summit on February 14, 2019.

The summit focused on all the reasons to love the Space Coast: from the many places to spend a staycation, to the opportunities available at Port Canaveral, and even the savings available by riding Space Coast Area Transit and sharing the ride to work.
Photo Feature: Love seeing students at Roosevelt Elementary participate in the Bicycle Safety Education program. The curriculum is led by PE teachers, while the SCTPO loans out its bike trailers complete with helmets.
