COC Baseball Loses to El Camino in Opening Day  
The Cougars plated three runs in the bottom of the eighth but could not complete the Opening Day comeback, as El Camino College scored two in the ninth to claim an 8-6 victory on Friday.  


COC Lady Cougars Fall to Bakersfield Renegades  
College of the Canyons overcame a 15-point deficit behind a game-high 28 points from Dayna Tanaka and another triple-double stat line from Marina Rojas, as the Lady Cougars pulled out an 83-75 victory over conference rival Bakersfield College on Saturday night in the Cougar Cage.   READ STORY

Musella Takes Helm of
SCV Chamber of Commerce  

 
The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber made history Friday as it installed John Musella as its chairman of the Board of Directors.  Musella became the first openly gay chairman in the business organization's 94-year history.  


TMU Baseball Opening Weekend Sweep  
The Master's University baseball team completed a three-game series sweep of Cal-Pac Conference foe, Marymount California University, with a pair of victories in Saturday's doubleheader by scores of 10-4 and 5-2.

SCV Detective Bureau Leader Retires

Not to be confused with the Saugus depot, Southern Pacific Railroad's Newhall depot was initially erected in 1876 near the modern-day intersection of Newhall Avenue/Bouquet Canyon Road and Magic Mountain Parkway, along SPRR's San Joaquin Valley line, which linked L.A. with San Francisco by rail for the first time.  READ MORE
