SOUTH DAKOTA #101
LIMITED - BISON HUNTS - TROPHY OR MEAT
| | |
This outfitter provides one of the more challenging bison hunts in the country, we believe. These bison run on 7,000 acres of rolling hills, canyons and prairie, much like their ancestors did, and the fencing is just 4- and 5-strand barbed wire (rather than high game-proof fenced), so trophy bulls should be eligible for inclusion in the North America 29 Super Slam, as well as SCI. They are about 500 in number and you will need to stalk them. You pick the size of animal you wish to hunt, and you can use archery, black powder, rifle, or pistol. Whatever your weapon of choice, you will earn your trophy.
The hunts are conducted from mid-December to the end of February when the hides are in the best condition (there is no difference in the quality of the hunting or the hides from the start to the end of that time). He usually allows you two days, but will give you a third day if needed, which we like a bunch. Success is 100%, and the outfitter will not let you leave without your bison trophy.
Included: Meals and lodging, Guiding, Photo set up, Aberdeen, SD airport pick up/drop off, Field prep, and delivery to processer (processing generally takes up to 2 days)
Processing by their professional butcher runs between $400 and $900 depending upon the size of the bison.

ALASKA #51
SPRING AND FALL 2026 KODIAK ISLAND BROWN BEAR
| | |
The upcoming 2026 season will mark this Alaskan Master Guide's 42ND year operating on Kodiak island. He offers comparatively low-cost hunt options for mountain goat and brown bear hunters willing to play the odds with Alaska's random draw system. Many Hunt Nation clients have been lucky enough to draw the first year they apply, but you must be booked, and have a contract with an outfitter before you are eligible to apply. Application periods open November 1st and end the 15th of December, so call our office today.
Brown bear numbers have been on a steady upswing on Kodiak Island in recent years, so this is the time to go! We consider him to be one of the best there is on the island. This is one of the world’s best and most classic bear hunts, and this guy takes majestic “Kodiak” bears that consistently exceed 9’, and he can average 9.5’ in a good year! And the 10-footers are there as well. The season is mid-April to mid-May, and late October to early November.
He offers spring and fall hunts, from a tent camp hunt, (some Alaska brown bear hunts are $25,000!). All hunts are 10 days. (Add Sitka black tail, no draw required or Mt goat if you draw it, fall hunts only). A deposit is required to apply for the draw. Fully refunded or rolled to next year if unsuccessful in the draw.

IDAHO #103
SPRING BLACK BEAR
| | |
This excellent outfitter has been in business for almost 40 years and has been featured many times on numerous big name TV hunting shows. We have worked with them for many years, and we have personally hunted with them several times. These guys have been hunting bears over baits since 1979, so they know how to produce trophies for their clients. Success is close to 100%, and they produce about 30% color phase bears. Average size is 5.5’-6.5’, with some 7-footers.
Hunts take place in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness area, along the Lochsa River. This area is so vast and has such a high bear population that you can take 2 bears on some hunts. Hunts are over bait, from treestands and ground blinds, which you will access by vehicle, on foot, by horseback, or even across the river by raft. This is an any-weapon hunt, so one bear can be taken with a rifle and next with a bow, or even a pistol.
Wolf is an animal of opportunity, as long as you buy the licenses ($31.75)
| | |
2026 PRICING (subject to change without notice until deposit received; all prices in USD) $4500 plus licenses ($41.75 each) and State tax.

ALASKA #233
FALL BROWN BEAR, MOOSE
| | |
This outfitter is one we have worked with for over 10 years. He hunts some of Alaska’s most famous areas with some of the highest brown bear concentrations in the state including the famed Wood River-Tikchik Park and the Togiak Wildlife Refuge.
BROWN BEAR OR MOOSE / BROWN BEAR COMBO- (lodge or tent based hunt)
This is the ideal moose hunt for guys who do not want to kill themselves fighting Alaska’s muskeg flats. This very successful outfitter uses small jet boats to access many small and remote rivers, creeks and ponds. Because they are the only ones in the area with those type of rigs, clients typically do not have to walk very far to get their moose. They do a lot of calling in of moose to the hunters, and a little spot and stalk over relatively short distances. You will have good success on big moose in the 55 to 65 inch range, and with great comfort.
Brown Bears in this region average 8' - 8'6". There is a wide array of color variations in this area. Apart from the traditional brown bear with gold highlights they see a lot of bears with silver and cream colored variations in this area. When a good bear is spotted the hunt is on. Primarily utilizing "spot and stalk" hunting tactics, as well as "ambush" strategies at highly frequented food sources.
FALL TOGIAK BROWN BEAR HUNTS:
This is a premier bear hunt conducted in one of Southwest Alaska's most pristine and wild hunting regions. They have been guiding in the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge since 1987. This exclusive use Federal Refuge area and Native Private Lands Area is remote and beautiful with an excellent bear population.
The areas in which you hunt in this location are conducive to "spot and stalk" hunting. With open rolling tundra hills laced with blueberry, cranberry and crowberry brush and alder covered mountainsides. Low in the valleys the salmon spawn in small streams. These resources provide a rich abundance of food for the bears in this ideal habitat.
Hunting is done by glassing from vantage points. When a good bear is spotted the stalk begins. Bears are typically viewed each day. A hunter wishing to harvest a trophy needs to be in good physical condition in order to hike and capitalize on any opportunity a large bear presents.

SOUTH AFRICA #61
BEST VALUE: PLAINS GAME AND TOURING AFRICA IN LUXURY!
| | |
We have been sending clients to this outstanding operation in South Africa’s Limpopo Province for many years, and to say that our clients come back happy would be an understatement! Descriptions such as “too nice for hunters”, “like staying on a luxury cruise ship,” and “everything was first class”, are what we hear over and over again from clients upon their return. And that’s just the 5-star accommodations and meals!
The hunting is simply outstanding too (“truly special”, as one recent client described it). They hunt about 500,000 acres of private “bushland”, offering close to 30 different species of plains game, as well as Cape buffalo and even crocodile. You can choose to cover ground in safari vehicles or on foot, or sit in blinds over waterholes, with gun or bow. They offer hunting year-round.
And now perhaps the best part…they offer some outstanding pricing, including some incredible bargains. You can choose an “a la carte” safari, whereby you pay a daily rate and then a trophy fee for each animal you harvest, but the big value lies in their various packages, which offer a set list of species per package, including trophy fees at a reduced rate. You can, however, substitute or add species. Below are just some of the great value packages available. Not only do the packages include nearly all hunting and associated costs (including ground transfers from Johannesburg airport), but they also include a FREE observer/non-hunting companion! But if that companion sees an animal they’d really like to harvest, they can do so by paying only minor associated admin fees (about $100) and the applicable trophy fee. They also don’t charge Value Added Tax (“V.A.T.”) on hunts or taxidermy fees. That means a 15% savings over just about every other outfitter in South Africa, all else being equal. We just don’t think you can beat that anywhere!
