"The Gift of Time"

Dear Southern Door Community,
Children love the gifts at the holidays! One gift that your child or grandchild will never tire of is your undivided attention. Take time over the next few weeks to spend some quality time with your child or grandchild. Invest in them and watch the payback and return for years to come! The letter on the right is a great reminder of what we see and hear at school about how important those personal "gifts of your time" are to our children to help them feel important in your lives and Eagle Strong!
Yours in Education!

Santa Claus will visit Brussels, Wisconsin in order to receive Christmas wish lists from the boys and girls of the area. This COVID safe event will take place at Travis Price Plastering and Masonry office, the former Nicolet Bank building on County Highway DK in Brussels. Children will have the opportunity to interact with Santa through the bank teller window and perhaps get a glimpse of The Grinch roaming through the property. The day will also include a Lights of Love display with decorated trees by members of the community.

All senior citizens, age 62 and over, who live in the Southern Door community are invited to participate in this yearโ€™s revamped annual Southern Door Holiday Celebration, Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the regular in-person holiday party will not occur; however, the holiday meal will still be available for pickup with a drive-through curbside service.

Individuals can pick up their holiday meals between 1:00-2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 16th by driving up to door 11, which is the new east entrance to the high school. Students and staff will bring your meal(s) to your car. This yearโ€™s menu includes traditional turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable, and dessert.
Reservations for this event must be made by calling the high school office, (920) 825-7333, by Monday, December 14th at 12 noon.

CARING CLOSET NEEDS
Do you have any gently used winter clothing such as mittens, hats, snow boots or snow pants that you are no longer using or are you able to purchase "new" items to donate?
