"It isn't the big pleasures that count the most;
it's making a big deal out of the little ones." Webster

Dear Southern Door Community,

As our families adjust to the different pace that summer brings, we may find ourselves trying to create big adventures, take big trips, or plan large events. That may be even more tempting to do this summer, as we find ourselves having a little more freedom than the shut-down summer we experienced last year. Don't forget the fun of doing the simple things with your children. Bring back all those little things like: running through sprinklers, riding bikes, going fishing, watching a ball game, catching fireflies, picking strawberries, going camping, and leave the cell phone, internet, and social media off turned off! You may find that you were able to create that kind of "epic" summer that your children will always remember!

This week, we are highlighting some end of the year achievements in academics and co-curricular activities. Report cards were mailed out today. Congratulations to all the student whose academic achievements are being recognized on the school honor rolls! Click on these links to access each school's list: Middle School Honor Roll; and High School Honor Roll.

Lastly, our teams could use our Eagle support next week at home when they host regional playoff games! Let's get a good crowd out there to cheer them on! There is no charge for admission and masks are only recommended for spectators who are not physically distanced. The softball team hosts Wrightstown at 4:30p on Monday, June 14th. On Tuesday, June 15th, the baseball team faces either Valders or Mishicot at home - time is yet to be determined. GO EAGLES! Be Eagle Proud & Eagle Strong!

Yours in Education,
Patti
