"A Time for Celebration”

Dear Southern Door Community:

We have made it through the first two months of school, and are still here educating our community’s children on site and virtually every day. Unlike other years, where we may have taken this transition of time for granted, we know that this year has put our school community to the test as we have worked together on so many levels to deal with the effects of the pandemic.

These are unprecedented times. Our situation remains fluid, and we go day to day, not knowing what lies ahead. What I do know, is that we, as Eagles, are all in this together – students, staff, parents, family, and community. Even if we are masked and standing six feet apart, our Southern Door staff is more than equal to the task and we will see each other through whatever may come!

To everyone, no matter what your role is in our school community, thank you for helping us keep our school open! I am sharing with you a special thank you video featuring “Good Job”, the song by Alicia Keys, created by the One Voice Children’s Choir.

We even finished out the week with the annual Halloween Parade in the elementary. Click on this link to provide yourself with a special Halloween treat! Please take advantage of the extra days off this week, and spend some time relaxing, taking care of yourself and family, and doing some of the things that you love!

MIDDLE SCHOOL SHOWS SUPPORT FOR NURSING HOME RESIDENTS!

COVID-19 has impacted a variety of people in a negative way. No one has been hit harder though, than people in nursing homes. The elderly have been most victimized by the virus in virtually every part of the state.

The Middle School Student Council wanted to show their support for nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic during the 2020 Halloween season. Each TEAM created posters showing their support for nursing homes over the past few weeks.
You do NOT need to pre-register for the above Halloween Cookout event.
