“Homecoming means coming home to what is in your heart."

Dear Families and Staff:
Our high school students are showing us wonderful examples of resiliency by planning the 2020 Homecoming, "Welcome to the Jungle" and doing so with our health and safety parameters in mind. While the traditional dance will not be happening, dance-off videos are being promoted to celebrate the uniqueness of this class. An outdoor pep rally with physical distancing, a small bonfire lit by the King & Queen, along with their court are still favorite activities to be enjoyed. Of course, that coveted "spirit jug" will still be awarded to the class that earns the most points for showing their school spirit; from the wall decorations they create to food items collected for the Maplewood Pantry, to an outdoor pep rally and more. Even our elementary and middle schools plan to get into the spirit by joining in on some of the school spirit days.

While today's situation does not allow our alumni and community to gather in the usual traditions at the football game, we hope that everyone will still take some time to revisit some great memories, rekindle some great friendships on social media, and continue to show your Eagle Pride.

Together We Are Eagle Strong!

IMPROVEMENTS

We had a wonderful celebration when we officially recognized the completion of our 2018 facilities referendum's construction projects. Now that the renovated spaces are in place, it is hard to remember the old spaces, but here are just a few pictures as a reminder:

DISTRICT DISPLAYS HEALTH DASHBOARD
We have done everything we can here at school to mitigate the risks of COVID-19, and the students and staff have been fantastic in taking this seriously; however, we continue to be influenced by others choosing to participate in social and community events which impact our school.

New metrics determine when activities take place based on how healthy our school is! A Health Dashboard is updated weekly at this link. We thank each of you for your dedication to following health & safety practices at home and out in the community.
