Superintendent Peter Jory reported to the Board that school start-up went quite well. He thanked all those who prepared the schools and classrooms for the re-opening of school. He noted that staffing is also going quite well, with the district needing a couple of specialist teachers. Enrolment is up at the elementary schools and the sense is that secondary schools will be be close to projections. Overall numbers may be up when it comes time report to the Ministry of Education on September 30. The district's funding is based on the enrolment count.
