During my time away for continuing education this week with my leadership cohort, we reflected on Howard Thurman’s words of “listening for the genuine.” So often in our lives we hear competing voices outside of us calling for us to be someone other ourselves, but God’s voice is the genuine quiet voice within us which calls us back home into God’s presence. As we continue into our week, may we listen for the voice of the genuine and be moved to true authentic relationship with God.

The San Diego School of Christian Studies invites you to join us as Encanto Elementary educators discuss challenges in teaching homeless children. Profound difficulties exist when educators struggle to teach kids lacking housing, food, learning materials, and sometimes parents. These caring panelists will describe the extremes to which they go to keep the childrens’ bodies and souls together daily. Encanto Elementary services some of the neediest students and families in San Diego.

Service of Remembrance and Celebration

Sunday, Dec. 3 | 6 PM | Sanctuary, OB Campus Refreshments will be served.

Join us for a special evening service to remember and celebrate the Water's Edge Faith Community and Point Loma United Methodist Church. Preacher this evening is District Superintendent, The Rev. Sandy Olewine.

The OB Food Bank has seen a large increase in the number of people we serve in recent weeks. Your donation would be deeply appreciated and will help support our efforts to provide quality food to those in need in the OB Community.We especially need peanut butter and tuna.
