Dear School District of Wisconsin Dells Community Members,
Please take a moment to review this month’s edition of our e-newsletter. District officials have put together various articles to keep our district’s constituents up-to-date on a variety of topics at all levels of our schools. If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you!
Dear Caregivers & Parents,
It is my pleasure to send out this mid-summer communication. During the past month of June, the school district has remained very busy, hosting numerous events and tackling summer cleaning tasks to ensure our schools are clean, healthy, and safe at all times. Additionally, we are closely monitoring the safety and security projects underway at Wisconsin Dells Middle School and Spring Hill Elementary School. To date, they remain on target for completion in late August, as significant progress is being made each week. We appreciate your patience regarding the temporary inconvenience caused by the construction.
SUMMER SCHOOL UPDATES
Following the July 4th holiday, the academic and enrichment components of summer school will begin on Monday, July 7, 2025. As a friendly reminder, due to the aforementioned summer safety construction taking place, all summer school will take place this year at WDHS. The use of the high school will afford students new learning opportunities, as well as facilitate easy pick-up and drop-off of students, while the infrastructure of Spring Hill Elementary and Wisconsin Dells Middle School is under construction. Before the start of the new school year, additional updates and information will be shared on this topic. In the meantime, thank you to all the students and families who have opted to participate in this year's summer school program! It is a great way to prepare students for the start of the upcoming school year. Special thanks to all the teachers and support staff members for their support of our students!
INFINITE CAMPUS GOES LIVE
As mentioned in a previous newsletter article, the district has moved to a new student information system (SIS). As of July 1, 2025, the district will move to Infinite Campus as the official PK-12 SIS. This has been a year-long project in the making, and most families will be unfamiliar with the new system. As I write this newsletter article, I would like to thank three key individuals for ensuring the smooth transition to Infinite Campus behind the scenes. Special thanks to Director of Technology Hugh Gaston, District Registrar Heather McLaughlin, and Executive Administrative Assistant Tiffany Clary for their dedication and commitment to the transition to the new SIS, which involved hundreds of hours of work. As you will see in the near future, Infinite Campus will offer many enhanced features that students and parents can take advantage of, including the ability to pay school fees via electronic funds and more robust gradebook features. Infinite Campus will provide a more efficient and streamlined service model for the end users. Soon, the district will begin sending out more detailed information via email to help all families set up new usernames and passwords and receive preliminary instructions on accessing the system. We will be happy to assist you with these details either at student registration on Thursday, August 7, 2025 or by appointment at the district office. We want to ensure a smooth transition process for all families. ...READ MORE
