A Message from Mr. Edmons to Chamber Orchestra

Dear Chamber Orchestra Musicians and Families,

I am writing to congratulate you on your outstanding performances on NPR's From the Top  concert and program Saturday, April 13 at the Conrad Performing Arts Center in La Jolla.

You all did a truly outstanding job in your concert performances, in the recording session, and throughout the day, as well as in all of our rehearsals and preparations on site for the From the Top  concert and for the full day of the event. You all represented yourselves and SDYS with honor and with excellence at this special concert and event.  I have received many notes of congratulations and of appreciation for you, which I will be able to share with you at our next rehearsal together.
I was very impressed as well by the maturity and by the outstanding character that you all exhibited and demonstrated for each other and for the other performers, hosts, and all of the staff on site throughout the day, both on and off the stage and in your concert performances.
Performing on the From the Top  program is a very special honor which features the very finest young artists from across the United States. It is very rare for an entire orchestra to be featured on this prestigious National Public Radio program. Your music will be heard by hundreds of thousands of families, communities, and people from all 50 states across the entire United States and beyond on the NPR broadcast of our performance for their upcoming program later this Spring.

I hope that you all enjoyed this special concert and event and that you will always remember what you all achieved together on this special day.

Congratulations again. I am very proud of you!

With Best Wishes,

Mr. Edmons
