Ovation Audition Q & A with the Music Director
Saturday, May 11
1:00pm - 1:40pm
Dear 8th-11th grade Sinfonia and Wind Symphony Parents and Musicians,

I hope that you are doing well and having a wonderful spring season.
I am writing let you know about an Ovation Program Audition Q and A meeting for the 2019-20 season audition.

The Ovation ensembles are the highest level ensembles at SDYS. It offers students and families exciting repertoire, concert performances, leadership and community opportunities, and outstanding musical training.

On Saturday, May 11 at the end of Sinfonia rehearsal, from 1:00pm-1:40pm, I will be hosting an informal meeting for all interested Sinfonia and Wind Symphony students and parents in room 205. We will discuss details about the Ovation ensembles and have an informal Q and A session for students and parents to learn about Ovation auditions, practice tips, and much more.

All current Sinfonia and Wind Symphony musicians who will be in 9th grade or higher for the 2019-20 year will have the opportunity to be considered for the Ovation Program when auditioning in June. Students may also apply to be considered for an Ovation leadership position as well.

I hope to see you all at 1pm on Saturday, May 11 in Room 205 after Sinfonia rehearsal, and I look forward to meeting you all in person!

Please feel free to email me at , if I can provide any additional assistance or can answer any questions that you might have about the Ovation Program.

With Best Wishes,

Mr. Edmons
