  • Season Pass 2016-17 - SDYS offers patrons the opportunity to make one purchase and attend all concerts in the 2016-17 season. Events not produced by SDYS are excluded. Click on the link above to purchase.

Reserved Seats - California Center for the Arts, Escondido, now requires all seats to be reserved seats (not general admission). When purchasing your tickets on-line, you can choose your seats from the seat map. Tickets/seats cannot be changed once purchased.

Ovation Concerto Competition Finalists

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 2016 Ovation Program Concerto Competition Preliminaries on October 16. It was a wonderful day of outstanding high level musical achievement demonstrated by each musician.  

The following students were selected as finalists to participate in the Ovation Concerto Competition Finals Friday,  October 28: (listed in random order):

Enjoy a night of music performed by clarinetist Raphaël Sévère, 2013 First Prize Winner of the Young Concert Artists International Audition. SDYS's own Christine Kim, principal flute of Symphony Orchestra, will perform in the Musical Prelude.  Below are the event details.

2017 International Young Artists Competition - Woodwinds, Brass and Percussion.

S tarted in 1959, the Jefferson Symphony International Young Artists Competition celebrates the talent of outstanding young musicians. Held annually, this one-day 

 competition--originally a contest meant to give local students their first experience at  public  performance--has evolved into a gathering of international musicians  competing for substantial  cash awards.

NYO USA

The National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America brings together America's finest young players ages 16-19 for an intensive summer of training, coaching, and an unforgettable concert tour of South America led by acclaimed conductor Marin Alsop.  The deadline to apply is Tuesday, November 1.   Apply here
Common Scholarship Application

The San Diego Foundation's 2017-2018 Common Scholarship Application will open Thursday, December 1.
