Read this week's update to find out more about Mentor Program, New Parent Portal, Concerto Competition, and more!

Kyle Henning will be present at rehearsals to answer questions this Sunday, September 25 from 1:00PM-4:00PM.  Stop by and say hi!
New Parent Portal
Welcome to the new Parent Portal!

By now, every parent should have received a welcome email to access our new Parent Portal on our brand new Student Management System (SMS). After following the confirmation steps, parents are able to login, and see pertinent information about their musician.  On the portal you have access to the Musicians' Handbooks & season calendars, reporting lost music, and from here you can report all of your musician's absences. If you have not received a welcome email, please email Conservatory Program Coordinator Kyle Henning at khenning@sdys.org.

Reporting an Absence
The SMS will keep track of the number of absences reported, and the number of absences accrued.  Every time an absence is reported, the SMS will email the family a confirmation.  This confirmation will let you know how many absences you have reported this concert period, how many absences you have accrued this concert period, and how many allowable absence the student has this concert period.   Reported absences do not count towards accrued absences.

After a student is physically absent from rehearsal, the SMS will email out an absence email detailing the number of absences accrued, and the total number of allowable absences.
Student ID Cards
Student IDs

At the first weekend of rehearsals we handed out student ID cards. Please email Conservatory Program Assistant Cecilia Vega at  cvega@sdys.org if you did not receive your card.
