Message from the Governor
It's been a busy summer! Everyone is out flying and attending aviation events.
Thank you to all those who helped make the International Conference in Charleston a success. Ramona Banks and her volunteers did a great job in the hospitality suite. The food and drinks were exceptional. I think it was one of the best we've had. Jenny Conway and her drivers worked tirelessly to get everyone from the airports to the hotel. Requests kept changing and they did a terrific job staying on top of it. Maria Lamia and her committee got the goodie bags together and greeted members. It was a wonderful welcome.
Another thanks to all the SES members who attended AirVenture and helped man the 99 booths. It was a great sucess.
As we move into Fall it looks like the events keep on coming. See the links below for the Fall Section Meeting Update and Registration. Join us Oct 7-9 in Knoxville.
The Nashville Chapter is planning a card run in October. Everyone is invited to participate. It's similar to a poker run. Look for the dates. They have already lined up some impressive prizes: spin training and endorsement from CFII Ron Dillard. IFR or VFR pitot static/transponder check for single engine piston from Forge Flightworkers, Aerobatic flight in an MX2 based out of KJWN, and a Discover Flight with CFI Jordan Cantrell.
