Customer Support Manuals
SEAL Analytical is constantly updating and trying to improve our customer's experience. We are focusing on updating our website to include helpful information for our customers.

Recently, we have added our Customer Support Manuals (CSMs) to our website. The CSMs include maintenance checklists, instrument theory, troubleshooting tips, and how-to documents for maintenance.

To access these documents, just register on our website and you will be able to download these documents depending on which instrumentation you are using.
We are also working on adding some Customer Guidance documents and troubleshooting tips, so stay tuned to the website!

July's Outstanding Employee at SEAL-US is Tom Hall!
Tom is a service engineer who some of you may know from his preventative visits. He has been a great asset for repairing instrumentation and troubleshooting potential hardware issues with customers! He really takes an interest in the research and testing being done at each site that he visits.

MONTHLY TROUBLESHOOTING TIP
The use of surfactants are common in segmented flow instrumentation and select discrete analyzer methods. The age of the surfactant is important for proper flow and usage. Specifically, for Brij-35 - the 30% solution should not be heated and less than 6 months old. If heated or old, nitrate reduction via cadmium reduction will degrade quickly and ammonia baselines will be unstable.

MSU Researchers Catalog 480,000 Lakes in the Lower 48 States

A team of Michigan State University researchers is on a mission to help ensure that current and future generations can enjoy the nation’s lakes.

As summer temperatures increase, many people may seek refuge at a favorite lake. Such traditions are particularly prevalent in places like Michigan, home to thousands of lakes.

A team of Michigan State University researchers funded by the US National Science Foundation is on a mission to help ensure that current and future generations can continue to enjoy and create memories with lakes, both in Michigan and nationwide.
SOFTWARE FEATURE: Smart Auto Dilute AQ 2.4.5
In the AQ software version, AQ 2.4.5 there is a new feature called Smart Auto Dilute. It will allow the software to automatically reschedule samples that read higher than the calibration range with a dilution factor based on the sample’s absorbance rather than based on the auto-dilution factor set in Test Parameters.

To turn on, go to Maintenance & Setup then Advanced Parameters. Under Analyser Parameters, change the Smart Auto dilution to Yes. This will then be applied to all tests.
