MONTHLY TROUBLESHOOTING TIP
Ammonia is a very pH sensitive chemistry. It is vital for proper color development to be in the correct range. If running the phenol reagent chemistry, the final pH of reaction should be between 11.6 - 12.1. If using salicylate, then the pH needs to be between 12.8 - 13.1. When checking the pH, a pH probe with a range of 0 - 14 is highly recommended.

SOFTWARE FEATURE: Re-Measuring BOD bottles
In some instances a bottle may need to be rerun after the run is completed. The "Measurement Window" must remain open and the BOD trays remain loaded in position in the software as well as on the instrument. To take a new measurement, right-click in the row for the necessary bottle and click "Re-measure selected BOD bottle".

Repeat this process for all bottles to be re-measured. The probe will then go back to that bottle and rerun this bottle. The new result will appear in the column for the Initial DO or Final DO, whichever result requires the re-measure. Then the original result is moved to a column called "ORG_StartDO or ORG_EndDO".
