MONTHLY TROUBLESHOOTING TIP
Sodium potassium tartrate trihydrate which is used in some ammonia and TKN chemistry analysis has been found to often be contaminated. Therefore, we recommend performing an alkaline boil to remove the contamination. Please see the procedure here.
SOFTWARE FEATURE: Spike Calculations - AQ
In the AQ software version, the software can calculate the spike recovery of samples. Spiking a sample is used to determine if there is some interference causing an incorrect reading.

The AQ software will allow for manual spikes (spikes added to the sample off-line) and auto-spikes (instrument does the spike). Click here for a document describing auto-spike set-ups.

The settings for both manual and auto-spikes can be set-up in Maintenance & Setup then Test Parameters. It is located in the QC pro tab.
