INSTRUMENT STORAGE TIPS

SOFTWARE FEATURE: Authorization Levels in AACE and AQ
In some cases, laboratories may want to restrict certain features of the software, depending on who is using the instrument. This way only authorized people can change QC protocols or templates.
In AACE, if one navigates to File > Manage Users, a window will open with the various user logins. Each user has a level associated with their login. By default the "Superuser Login is given the highest access level and should never be modified. Some labs will elect to just keep the software open for everyone. Others may want to assign other levels of access. This is done in the neighboring access tab. Certain functions can be checked and unchecked for all software functions.
If one navigates to the Maintenance & Setup tab and clicks on Advanced Parameters, you will find the Login Administration menu. Here, new users can be added and one of three authorization levels can be assigned.
An Administrator can use all functions. Supervisor can use all functions except Log-In administration. A User may access all basic functions of the software but not alter test parameters or advanced settings.
