SEANC is excited to announce that Brenda Williams has been hired as the association's Chief Financial Officer.
Williams, a member of SEANC District 44, most recently served as Deputy Treasurer for the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer Unclaimed Property Division, where she led the annual recovery of more than $150 million and facilitated safekeeping of nearly $1 billion in unclaimed property on behalf of N.C. citizens.
She successfully led the Division through significant restructuring and modernization of operations to increase efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and return record-breaking amounts of money to the rightful owners.
"Brenda has been an inspiring member-leader, and we are incredibly excited to have her join our management team," said SEANC Executive Director Ardis Watkins. "She brings a wealth of financial knowledge and the well-deserved trust and respect of her peers to this position."
