SEAONC has refreshed its event sponsorship program, and we'd love to have you on board. Sponsorship puts your company in front of the decision-makers in the structural engineering field.

Association Monthly Meetings

Sponsor a single meeting ($1,500) with a 3-minute company spotlight, stage acknowledgment, logo placement, and two registration tickets — or go annual ($10,000) for three events, a full year of website presence, and a mention in the Annual Business Dinner program.

Continuing Education Seminars

For $1,500, introduce your company at a CEC seminar and get logo placement on event materials and the registration page, plus a registration ticket.

Exhibitor Tables

A $500 tabletop at monthly meetings or CEC seminars gets you face time with attendees, exhibitor recognition and logo placement, and a chance to hand out promotional materials. Space is limited and first come, first served.

Help Shape Future Structural Engineering Training Resources

Are you an early-career structural engineer, or involved in training new engineers? The NCSEA Academia-Practice Partnerships (APP) Committee wants your input.

We're gathering feedback to better understand how firms train new hires, which technical topics need more support, and what learning formats engineers find most valuable. Your responses will help guide the development of future training resources for the structural engineering profession.

The survey takes approximately 5–10 minutes to complete, and your feedback will directly influence NCSEA's priorities.

Young Members Forum: Giants Game, Board Transition

YMF had another great turnout at our annual Giants Game! Members enjoyed an evening of baseball, networking, and connecting with fellow young professionals. This year's event was held jointly with ASCE 7, providing a great opportunity to strengthen relationships across organizations. 

Thank you to our outgoing board members for their time, dedication, and contributions to YMF over the past year. We planned a fun mid-summer dinner to celebrate our accomplishments this year.

Good news!  The SEAONC Business Forum is re-starting and will start meeting in September.  If you’re interested in learning and discussing issues related to management and running a structural engineering firm, fill out this survey here to learn more. Everyone is welcome -- whether you’re a designer, project manager, firm leader, or marketing and accounting staff -- and a variety of participation levels are available to suit all time commitments. Continuing Education: Upcoming Seminars

Join CEC on September 15 for a presentation by Janiele Maffei, S.E., Chief Mitigation Officer for the California Earthquake Authority (CEA), on California's residential earthquake mitigation efforts through the California Residential Mitigation Program (CRMP). Since 2011, CRMP has funded retrofits for over 39,500 homes through programs like Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) and Earthquake Soft-Story (ESS), with real-world data from recent earthquakes proving retrofits work. Maffei will also introduce the new Earthquake Multi-Unit Retrofit (EMR) program, opening for registration August 19.

We will send out a follow-up email with more details once registration opens.

Outreach: Job Shadow Program

The job shadow program is continuing to go strong as we’re in the middle of summer with high school and college students signing up to shadow a structural engineer. If you’re interested in volunteering to be a shadow for a student, please sign up here! We will pair you with a student for about 1-4 hours to experience a day in our life.
