All are Welcome | No Reservations Needed

SEAS Members: Donation $10
Non-Members $15
(Note: If you are not a member, you can join online! https://sailseas.com/Monmouth)

Join us for a fun day of sailing and connecting with SEAS members. Thanks to a group of dedicated SEAS Members we have multiple Lasers and Day Sailers available for an open day of sailing. ALL LEVEL of sailors are welcome, even if you have never sailed. We have experienced Skippers to take you out and give you some tips.

Date: Saturday September 25th (weather permitting)
Time: 10AM-2:30PM
Location: Oceanport Public Beach | Seawaneka Ave. and Pocano Ave., Oceanport, NJ 07757

A Safety Boat will be present for those that need on-the-water assistance. If the wind is
too strong for your liking, enjoy your picnic lunch on the beach and watch the action!

(Bring a Life Jacket if you have it. We have a limited number available to borrow.)

We’d love to see you there!
The Evenings Are Getting Shorter
Thursday evening sails out of Marina Bay in Long Branch now leave at 5 PM.

And for all our boats, take advantage of the fall sailing season. The weather is cooler, and the winds are great! Check the calendar and join a sail.
25' MacGregor For Sale
As many of you know, Past Commodore Jerry Grennan donated his 25' MacGregor to SEAS Monmouth in his will. We have listed the boat for sale - the proceeds of the sale will benefit SEAS Monmouth.

If you or anyone you know is interested, here are the listings, with details of the boat.

Monthly General Membership Meeting

Keyport Yacht Club
We are pleased to have Ron LaNeve join us again to give one of his interesting and informative presentations.

Ron LaNeve is a veteran sailor and racer with more than 40 years of experience. He has worked in sail making since 1987. Ron grew up on the Jersey Shore and started sailing on Barnegat Bay at a very young age.

He began working for North Sails in 1995 (previously working at Shore Sails 1987-1995). Currently, Ron focuses on Cruising boats of all sizes, as well as PHRF and IRC/ORC/ORR classes along with Offshore One Design, such as J-109, J-105 and offshore multihulls. In the past, he has worked extensively with classes like the Farr 30, J-120, and Tripp 26 to name a few.

Ron will be presenting on Winterizing and Care of Sails and Boats. Mark your calendar to be sure you don't miss this presentation!
Sign Up For The Activity Sails Crew List
Would you like to be on a crew list, so that skippers can reach out to you when they have open spots on an activity sail?

If that idea appeals to you, send your name and contact info, and which boat you'd be interested in going on (Rhodes Less Traveled, SEAS The Breeze, or both), to Bobbie McArdle at bobbie.mcardle@gmail.com. She will forward your name and contact info to all skippers.

Remember though that the best way to get on an activity sail is to look at the calendar, pick a boat and an evening, and contact the assigned skipper.
We need speakers and/or topics
for our monthly meetings
If you know someone who can present a topic of interest to SEAS members, or if you attended a meeting somewhere else that had a presentation that you think would be relevant at a SEAS meeting, please let Joan Venezia know. If you are able to speak with the person about coming to a SEAS meeting that would be great, but if all you have is their name and contact information, with some background information about their topic and where you saw them, email it to Joan at joan.venezia@hotmail.com and she'll take it from there!
