NEWSLETTER SUBMISSIONS
Submissions for the newsletter are due by 3 pm Thursday, prior to the following week.  Submit your information to Krissa Mentuis.   All submissions will be reviewed and approved by Mr. Aguilera. 
All submissions must be a MS Word document, using Tahoma font, size 9.  Please do not use any other formatting (i.e., all caps, bold, italics, underlining, colored text, text boxes, etc...).  Graphics and photos (jpeg only) are subject to editing. All flyers must be PDF files and will be included as is.  Please proof the material before submitting.

  • Feb. 1- Open House for prospective families.  Invite friends to visit SEASCS! 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

  • Feb. 3 - Mass; Grandparent's DayRSVP by WED!; Noon dismissal; Family "2-Steppin'" Dance and BBQ dinner
SAVE THE DATE
Grandparent's Day is Friday, February 3rd.  We are inviting Grandparent's (or special friends) to join us for Mass at 9 a.m. and  reception in the CLC immediately following.  Please note, we LOVE our parents, but this event is for grandparent's  (or special friends of the child) only.   CLICK HERE FOR THE RSVP FORM.  PLEASE RSVP BY WEDNESDAY(Please note this is a noon dismissal.)

This year there will be a special slide show featuring our students with their grandparents.  If you would like to be included, email (maximum 2) to  Krissa Mentuis.  Pictures emailed after Wednesday, Feb. 1st will not be included.  Thank you for your attention. 


It's time for some 2-steppin', line dancing, and finger licking good fun!  Join us for the last family dance of the school year next Friday, February 3rd. 

We need help in the kitchen! If you can help for an hour or two, please sign-up here.  We appreciate ya!

Steps 4 Students is an archdiocesan-wide event raising awareness and much needed funds for Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.  This year's event is Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.  


THANK YOU to everyone who donated $50 or more to earn Bahama Bucks last week!  Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who helped serve the treats.  



valentines-day-header5.gif VALENTINE'S DAY CARNATION SALE! - This only happens once a year! Send your child a carnation and brighten their day on Valentine's Day!  This is a fun way for the students to show their friends how much they care.  Flowers will be delivered to your child during the school day.  Carnation profits go to the 8th grade graduation. 


BOX TOPS
Save those Box Tops!!
Please collect and send in your Box Tops.  Each one is worth 10 cents for our school.  We have one more contest this year.  The class with the most Box Tops collected in January and February will get a surprise provided for their class.  Please make sure you submit them in a plastic baggie with your child's grade and teacher to be counted.  Visit www.btfe.com for the list of participating products.  Please contact Lara Hlavaty  if you have questions. 

USED UNIFORMS
PTO will not be accepting uniforms with the old crest. Bottoms including pants, shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers will still be accepted.  Thank you for your understanding.  
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
The Free Dress Pass is $25 and all funds will benefit the Annual Fund. 
The fee will show as an incidental expense on your FACTS account.  Incidental expenses are optionalThe amount will not be automatically deducted from your account; even if you have chosen auto-withdraw as your option for payment.  Please go into your FACTS account and push the payment through if your child/children would like to participate.  Finally, free dress has a deadline date.  If you choose not to participate the billing will be taken off of your account a few days prior to the deadline date.

ARCHDIOCESAN YOUTH CONFERENCE
AYC is a 3-day celebration of the Archdiocesan-wide church with,by, and for high school-age young people.  Its mission is to deepen the teen's Catholic faith by fostering a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.  It engages the teen through prayer, music, the Word, evangelization and catechesis, sacraments, community life, and service.  In this way teens can deepen their understanding and commitment to faithfully live the mission of Jesus Christ for others.
