Message from the SEASR President

Thank you to all the academic attendees and generous sponsors who made the 11^th annual SEASR meeting in Nashville in June a great success! We had an amazing turnout with 185 registrants,32 corporate sponsors, and 7 institutional sponsors. Thank you and congratulations to Dr. Aaron Pitre for serving as SEASR President for this outstanding meeting.

As I begin my SEASR Presidency, I am excited for the year. We welcomed 4 new members to our SEASR Executive Board with a variety of shared resources expertise from a variety of institutions. We have also selected the location for the 12^th annual SEASR meeting and begun working on the scientific program. The 2025 meeting will be held from Wednesday, June 18 through Friday, June 20 in Tampa, Florida at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa USF Near Busch Gardens. This hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the University of South Florida and Moffitt Cancer Center. We look forward to another great meeting with keynotes from scientific leaders, concurrent sessions focused on shared resources administration and technologies, an Exhibit Hall full of vendors, and lots of time to network with colleagues and vendors. As we continue planning the program, we welcome suggestions for session topics that you wish to see at the 2025 meeting. You may email me at jenny.c.schafer@vanderbilt.edu.
