Legal Lines | Questions of The Month
With the help of McClelland & Anderson, we are taking the most recently asked questions from our Legal Hotline and putting them in E-News.

QUESTION: My seller-clients signed a 6-month listing contract which does not expire for another 2 months. My sellers just notified me that they no longer wish to work with me. Aren’t my sellers required to honor the terms of their listing contract?

ANSWER: NO. Depending on the facts, your sellers may be liable to pay you damages for breaching their listing contract, but they cannot be forced to continue to work with you.
