Now that we've heard from each industry sector and outlined a path forward, Southeast Conference is looking to hire a Resiliency Coordinator to put these steps into action. Part of these efforts will intertwine with program delivery as the region's economy struggles to recover. Mid Session Summit Presentation Materials and Denali Commission Resources
Included with the presentation materials is an expanded document from the funders and facilitators session with contact information. We are particularly grateful to the Denali Commission for facilitating that panel. The Denali Commission is currently accepting projects and making funding decisions on a monthly basis. More information about funding can be found at this link: https://www.denali.gov/funding-requests/ which leads to their submission portal and 2 forms - the project submission form and a second form for prospective applicants (PAs) to request a funding panel with public funding partners to discuss project(s) and strategies. Big Changes for Small Businesses and PPP
According to the latest PPP Weekly Report, more than $434 million in PPP funds have been approved for Alaska small businesses since the program re-opened Jan. 11, 2021. The Biden administration just announced major changes to the Payroll Protection Program. Only businesses with fewer than 20 employees will be able to apply for PPP funds through March 9.Find out more by joining the Alaska SBDC Business Advisors each Wednesday at 2:00pm for the latest updates in news and opportunities (Emergency Loans, Unemployment, etc.) for small businesses. 
SBA Disaster Assistance Loans for Non-Profits
Low-interest federal disaster loans are now available to certain private nonprofit organizations in Alaska following President Biden’s federal disaster declaration for Public Assistance as a result of severe storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides that occurred Nov. 30 - Dec. 2, 2020. Private nonprofits that provide essential services of a governmental nature are eligible for assistance.
 
These low-interest federal disaster loans are available in the Chatham REAA, the City and Borough of Juneau, the Municipality of Skagway and the Haines and Petersburg boroughs.

Exciting Changes for the State of Alaska Workforce
The Department of Administration (DOA) has made changes in the State of Alaska government that may benefit you!

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the State's IT infrastructure was forced to reconfigure in-order to support working from home. This massive shift to telework has has enabled Alaskans to have the opportunity to live in the community where the grandparents lived while working for the state they love! Jobs with the State are posted at Workplace Alaska!

The State has also consolidated and streamlined its procurement system, allowing for greater opportunities to get contracts with the State with open, standardized, competitive procurement. To apply, visit the Vendor Self Services Portal.

Helping Alaskans with Rent and Utility Relief
Alaska Housing Finance Corporation is administering a relief program to pay for up to 12 months of rent and utilities for qualifying households with rent paid directly to landlords.
