Opportunities!

RFA: Volkswagen EVSE Program

Due to the environmental climate, hydroelectric power generation and a limited road system, Southeast Alaska communities lead the state in adoption of electric vehicles (EV). The Southeast Conference (SEC) intends to support the construction of 6-10 Level 2 Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) charging stations in the region’s communities that do not currently have charging stations available for the public. This project is funded from a settlement made with the Environmental Protection Agency and Volkswagen. Applications due April 2, 2024.

TIME TO WEIGH IN ON THE 2030 CEDS

Be Part of the Solution!

Over the next year, Southeast Conference will be working to develop a new Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the region, which will guide our trajectory for the next 5 years. This work begins with our business climate survey and continues through our committees meetings. We depend on you, our members, to weigh in on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to our region on an industry specific level. Please be on the lookout for our upcoming business climate survey and committee meetings. These committee meetings are open to all of our membership that would like to participate. If you would like to receive invites to a committee that you are not currently on, please email your request to office@seconference.org and we will be sure to add you to the list!
