The Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC), representing the 17-state American South, is leading a targeted business development mission to London, United Kingdom, in February 2027, focused on foreign direct investment attraction and strategic engagement with the global space industry.

Operating as Team American South, the delegation will engage directly with companies across the space, aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing sectors to identify investment prospects, cultivate corporate relationships, and advance economic development opportunities throughout the region.

Anchoring the mission is Space-Comm Expo, a leading international exhibition and conference dedicated to the global space industry. The event convenes manufacturers, investors, innovators, and government leaders involved in commercial space development, satellite technologies, space infrastructure, defense applications, and emerging technologies. 

SEDC will maintain a dedicated American South booth within the American Pavilion, providing a central platform to promote the region’s competitive advantages and connect with international decision-makers. Through targeted prospect meetings, company introductions, and direct business development outreach, Team American South will pursue new investment leads and strengthen the region’s global recruitment pipeline.

Economic development professionals and partners from across the American South are invited to join the delegation and participate in coordinated international recruitment efforts.
