Sunday Parking at Salon Luna

A new salon has moved into the little building across from our parking lot and the owner has generously welcomed us to use her parking lot on Sunday mornings! If you are able to walk a little further, please consider parking there to leave room for those who need a shorter walk.

For this Sunday (Easter Sunday) in particular, please consider carpooling, parking farther down Rt. 7 than you normally would, or even parking in the town lot behind Gulottas. If you are able to walk a bit further, you can help us be more welcoming for visitors by leaving closer spaces for them. If you do park in the church lot or in the Salon Luna lot, please try to park as efficiently as possible.

Transcendental Meditation

Join us for an introduction to Transcendental Meditation (TM) on Thursday, April 9th from 4:30-5:30 pm in the Parish Hall. TM is an ancient meditation technique that is taught one-on-one, is evidence-based, and guaranteed. In the introduction you will learn how TM works and what makes it unique. We will also share more about typical benefits our students experience such as improved sleep, decreased anxiety and depression, increased creativity, reduced blood pressure, improved relationships with the self and others, and deeper spiritual experiences. This is a free event.

Bible Study

The next Bible study will be on Friday April 10 at 1pm in the Parish hall.

We are studying the Book of Acts, from The Books of Faith Series. The theme of the lesson is 'A Riot in Ephesus'. The Scripture reading is Acts 19:1-41.

Please let Imelda Muller or the church office know if you plan to attend.

All are welcome!

AT Hiker Helper Needed

We were contacted by a couple who are looking to be picked up from a trailhead in Salisbury, CT and taken to the Wassaic Train Station on April 17 at 7:30 am.

They will be parking their car at that trailhead and then taking the train down to the NY/CT border to section hike Connecticut.

If you would like to take on this project, email Pastor Erik and he'll connect you with our hikers.

OWLEs April Trip

Having survived the Titanic, the next Owles outing is scheduled for Friday, April 24. We will visit the Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, where a talented young woman named Deb Koffman has an interesting and unusual exhibit there of her creative and whimsical art work. Unfortunately she died of cancer in her sixties. Her mother Sara is a friend of Nancy King’s and she would love to come along and tell us about her daughter and her work.

We will plan to arrive at the Rockwell about 10:15 and look at the exhibits upstairs before Sara comes at 11 to meet us downstairs where Deb’s work is displayed.

Admission is $20, but many of us are members who can bring a guest, so, with luck, we can all get in for free. After, we will go to lunch at Michael’s in downtown Stockbridge.

Let Nancy King or Liz Wells know if you’d like to attend so car pools can be arranged.

Market Match Fund

Berkshire Agricultural Ventures is pleased to launch the fifth year of our Market Match Fund, a centralized fund for SNAP matching at farmers markets across the Berkshire region.

Please see full details in our press release.

We are partnering with and supporting 10 Berkshire-area farmers markets this year: North Adams, Williamstown, Pittsfield/Roots Rising, Lee, West Stockbridge, Stockbridge, Great Barrington, Sheffield, Berkshire Grown’s Winter Markets, and New Milford, CT.

Today we are opening our annual spring community campaign, a key piece of BAV's year-round fundraising for the Market Match Fund. During the month of April, we are seeking to raise $45,000 to help local households in need, support local farmers, and strengthen area farmers markets.

Thank you for spreading the word!

Food Security Summit

Wednesday, May 6th from 9-1pm at the Berkshire Innovation Center in Pittsfield. We will review the final Community Food Needs Assessment followed by an ethical story-telling workshop.

Synod Assembly Representatives Needed

The annual Lutheran Synod Assembly is scheduled for June 4-6 at the DCU center in Worcester. At our annual meeting we did not identify anyone who was able to attend so if YOU would like to go and represent Christ Trinity Church please let Teak and Pastor Erik know right away.

The Assembly is still months away but registering early will save some money. Any member of our congregation, regardless of whether you come from a Lutheran or an Episcopal background, can be a delegate.
