New Member Class This Sunday
If you would like to learn more about our congregation and/or have questions about who we are or what we do, come to the class after church this Sunday, February 1st. We'll meet in the sanctuary and get started as soon as the altar guild finishes their clean up work. After the class, if you would like to officially join our congregation as a member, we'll make sure we have all your contact information and look for you to "officially" join at the end of worship on February 15th. A prayer up front during announcements is all that entails. If you aren't ready to become "official" that's okay too! Anyone who attends can sign up to do almost any volunteer job around the church (if you're not "official" you can't be a representative at Synod Assembly or Diocesan Convention, but that's really it). If you plan to attend the class, give the office a call (413-229-8811) or email and let us know so we have a headcount for handouts.

Community Immigration Forum
This Saturday from 2-4pm at Trinity Church (88 Walker Street, Lenox), there will be a community forum on immigration issues here in the Berkshires. We’ll offer clear, grounded information on immigration enforcement and detention—nationally and locally—with a focus on the Berkshires and nearby towns. We’ll then break into small groups to identify practical steps people of faith and conscience can take right now to support immigrant neighbors.
The forum will be led by Michael Hitchcock, Fernando León, and Rev. Margot Page. Deacon Margot currently serves as President of Berkshire Interfaith Organizing (BIO), along with her work with our vulnerable neighbors. Fernando is a Berkshire-based community organizer with a focus on helping families navigate systems, access resources, and defend their rights. Through Root & Dreams and Mustard Seeds, Michael builds community across many different backgrounds to advance political, economic, and social justice in the Berkshires.
Michael, Fernando and Margot also helped organize the community response to the first ICE raids in the Berkshires.
This forum is open to the community, so please pass on this invitation and feel free to bring friends and neighbors. We hope you can join us on Saturday.

Directory Edits
This is the final week for updates!
If you have corrections or updates to your entry in the directory, either make those changes in the copy on the round table in the Parish Hall or email those changes to the church office. If you do not have an entry at all please get a form from the mail box on the office door and return it to the same place.
Official Members, Soon-to-be Members, and Friends who aren't ready to be members are all welcome in the directory! Our goal will be to have a new directory available for folks at the annual meeting on February 8th so please have these corrections or new entries turned in by the end of January.
If you have not had your picture taken for the directory, please contact Teak. These photos will not be posted virtually and are very useful in helping people learn others names.

Senta brings a Vocal Toning experience to Christ Trinity
February 7th, at 4:30pm
Vocal toning is a sound healing practice using the voice to create sustained, resonant sounds (like vowels or humming) for physical and emotional well-being,
focusing on vibration rather than melody to promote relaxation, release tension, balance energy, and calm the nervous system. It involves vocalizing simple tones or vowels, often on a single note, to generate healing vibrations felt throughout the body, acting as a free, portable tool for stress reduction and inner harmony, accessible to anyone.
Key Aspects of Vocal Toning
-
Purpose: To create therapeutic vibrations, release stuck energy, reduce stress, improve focus, and achieve meditative states.
-
Technique: Holding simple vowel sounds (like "Ah," "Oh," "Eee") or humming, sometimes directed at specific energy centers (chakras).
-
Mechanism: The sound waves resonate within the body, stimulating the vagus nerve and activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which calms the body.
-
Benefits: Can lower heart rate, decrease blood pressure, improve circulation, and foster feelings of peace and balance.
-
Accessibility: Requires no musical skill or equipment, making it an easy-to-use self-healing tool.
