SEEDS

January 7th, 2026

Dr. Jason Larson is an instructor of Religion and Philosophy at The Hotchkiss School and one of our newer members! He does a very cool podcast each week. I wanted to share it with you. He did a fantastic series for Advent and is working on another series for Lent. Between now and then, Jason said it will have some "fun stuff" including an episode on Laughter and Being Silly.

The link below will take you to the homepage where the most recent episode is front and center. Pro tip: if you sign up (there is a free membership tier) you'll get a notification when he's uploaded something new.

Huge thanks to Jason for sharing his wisdom with us in this format!

Taizé Tomorrow

This months Taizé service was postponed to tomorrow, January 8th, in order to avoid any conflicts with New Years Day. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there!

New Members Class

We are so excited by all the new faces we have been seeing!

To help make it official, we will hold a New Member Class on February 1st with an official New Member Welcome on February 15th.

Please let Teak know if you would like to be part of this group.

Immigrant Rights = Human Rights

There will be a gathering with local leaders and organizers who are on the front lines working for immigrant justice throughout the Berkshires.

There was a similar event at St. John’s this fall and it was very informative and helpful. If you are concerned about the persecution of undocumented persons in our country and are eager to organize, this is a great opportunity to get involved.

Please spread the word - it should be a powerful and important day!

2026 National Day of Racial Healing

Join us online or in-person at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Naperville, Ill. on Jan. 20, 2026 from 7-9 p.m. EST for a night of centering multiracial voices from across the ELCA as we observe the 2026 National Day of Racial Healing (NDORH). Presented by the ELCA in partnership with Augsburg Fortress, this free program will feature intentional storytelling through words and music and provide opportunities for deep listening, reflection and drawing closer together as fellow children of God.

Online attendees: No registration is required. A link to join virtually will be available on the NDORH webpage.

For more information, visit elca.org/NDORH.

Directory Edits

With all the new faces it is time to do a Church Directory review and update.

If you have corrections or updates to your entry in the directory, either make those changes in the copy on the round table in the Parish Hall or email those changes to the church office. If you do not have an entry at all please get a form from the mail box on the office door and return it to the same place.

Official Members, Soon-to-be Members, and Friends who aren't ready to be members are all welcome in the directory! Our goal will be to have a new directory available for folks at the annual meeting on February 8th so please have these corrections or new entries turned in by the end of January.

If you have not had your picture taken for the directory, please see Teak on Jan. 11th or 18th!

This is our winter hiatus from Bible study.
