Happy New Year! 
I have been thinking about what I am thankful for in the new year and on that list is each and every one of you. SEF is only a complete organization with every Administrator, Teacher, Board Member, Parent, Community Member, and PTA working together to make a difference in the lives of our students.
I am thankful for all of the time, effort, funding, and work that each and every one of you gives to SEF, all to help us follow our mission to enhance
, enrich, and extend the academic initiatives of our schools. Our primary mission is simple: p
rovide financial support to the
San Gabriel Unified School District students.
As a volunteer organization we are all here out of the goodness of our own hearts and I am thankful that you have chosen to put your heart into SEF!
Your support of the Annual Fund is critical to the continued success of our projects and workshops offered for the students in our school district.

A "Toast to the Future" Kick Off Event and Gala!

TOAST TO THE FUTURE COMMUNITY PARTY
We are very excited about our Toast to the Future Community Party fundraiser happening February 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at
Ogopogo Brewing in San Gabriel, our event sponsor. For $25, you will get food and two 4 oz pours of beer, with more available for purchase, and you'll enjoy the hottest new community space in town with friends. Special thanks to STONEFIRE Grill in Pasadena for donating dinner and to Ogopogo.

SEF Board Member Profiles

Robert Bringas, Jr.
Secretary
Robert has served on the SEF Board since 2010 and is the Secretary for the 2018-2019 Board of Trustees. He has also helped SEF in various capacities, namely on the committee that oversees the SEF Summer Academy. Working with SEF has truly been a blessing for Robert who has met with many school and city leaders who share his passion of helping the students in the district participate in programming that helps to enhance their growth in academics and the arts.
Currently, Robert is the Assistant Head of School for Advancement at Holy Family High School in Glendale. He is also the Varsity Volleyball Coach at the school. Within San Gabriel, he is the Program Director and 18's Coach for the Starlings San Gabriel Volleyball Club and is very proud to have served many of the young ladies who have played at Jefferson MS and Gabrielino HS.
As a member of the SEF Board, he will work to continue the Fundraising and Friendraising efforts of SEF in order to provide even more programming and opportunities for the students of the San Gabriel Unified School District. Please consider SEF in your yearly giving and feel free to reach out to him at our different events to find out how else you, too, can help SEF and the students of the SGUSD.
Kacie Bauzon - Marketing and Communications
This is Kacie's first year serving on the SEF Board as the Marketing Chair. She has previous experience helping non-profit establishments, including Wilson Elementary School and local AYSO regions. Her current role with SEF combines her professional expertise with her passion for supporting education.
Kacie has a background in business and marketing, and currently runs her own consulting company with a focus on business intelligence and helping clients drive growth and maximize profits. With the support of her husband Reggie, Kacie is an active member of the community and serves on the Wilson PTA, and her three children are current Wildcats.
