NASBE Finds Strong Support for SEL, Some Concerns
According to new survey research from the National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE), influential stakeholders view SEL favorably. But they also express reservations about overburdening teachers and labeling students, the survey finds.

Cross-Districts Meeting Brings Together 21 School Districts to Focus on SEL
Nearly 200 education leaders came together April 9-11 in Sacramento, Calif., for CASEL’s eighth annual Cross-Districts Learning Event. The theme was “Interrupting Inequity and Achieving Academic Success Through SEL.” More than 60 students, ages 6 to 18, participated in meaningful ways, reinforcing the importance of youth voice and participation in systemic SEL .
