Dear SEMC Members,

In another year of transition for our southeastern museum community, it is a joy to celebrate the museums and museum practitioners who continue to meet change with resilience, creativity, courage, and grace. From forward-thinking, inclusive exhibitions to brilliantly designed publications and social media campaigns that made us pause and take notice, the 2025 Competition winners have created projects that inspire and truly deserve recognition.

The five 2025 Award recipients have also distinguished themselves in remarkable ways, whether through decades of dedicated service or powerful contributions in recent years. We honor their leadership, empathy, inclusivity, professional excellence, and unwavering commitment to the museums and communities they serve. We look forward to celebrating them together at the 2025 Awards Luncheon in Montgomery next week!

Congratulations to all of this year’s competition winners and award recipients. SEMC is so proud of your accomplishments, and we are grateful for the ways you continue to strengthen and inspire our field.

With appreciation,

Zinnia Willits
