Southern Industrial Contractors completed a new coal dump facility for TXU Mining Company
located in East Texas. This project had a very demanding schedule, which SIC manned with more than 50 personnel, consisting of
rod busters, concrete finishers, iron workers, equipment operators, and surveyors. Our crews performed work on concrete walls that were over three feet thick and over 40 feet tall. SIC crews also placed wing walls, buttress walls, numerous footings, and concrete foundations for new equipment and new conveyors.

SIC's Terex Johnson-Ross R750 Portable Central-Mix Concrete Plant is a dual-drum mixer
capable of producing 750 cubic yards per hour. Also shown above is SIC's REX Model S
concrete plant which is capable of producing 400 cubic yards per hour. These concrete plants
are routinely set up on industrial construction projects throughout the United States.

These project photos are of a new rolling mill being constructed on the East Coast of the United States. This project consisted of a new melt line which included new melting furnace foundations and new holding furnace foundations.
Southern Industrial Contractors also constructed
a deep foundation for a new rolling mill at this project site. Phase I of this new $300 million
expansion should be online by April 2020.

Southern Industrial Contractors maintains three Somero laser screeds with 3D Profiler Systems which deliver superior grade control and allow for all paving elevations to be reviewed and verified prior to concrete placement. This 3-D profile system utilizes a robotic Total-Station
which constantly tracks the location of the laser screed and transmits data as to the
exact northing and easting location as well as elevation to the laser screed receiver. Prior to concrete placement, all elevations can be field-verified by simply operating the laser screed
in the pour area and verifying through grade stakes that the correct thickness and elevation
has been attained. This yields nice crisp straight paving surfaces and paving edges at very low slump placement, thus delivering a high-quality project that is aesthetically pleasing.

most intricate concrete projects such as specialty equipment foundations, concrete tunnels, concrete bio-filter buildings, heavy-reinforced floor slabs, as well as many miles of
runways, taxiways, highways, and street paving.

Most recently, Southern Industrial Contractors produced and poured over 40,000 cubic yards
of concrete for two new grassroots industrial facilities which had a total
combined project investment of over $300 million.
