LNS PTO GoFundMe Fundraiser
The LNS PTO prides itself on being able to raise money to support our amazing teachers, staff and students. However, with the rise of COVID and continued restrictions due to the pandemic, we are unable to fundraise as much as we normally do. Given the fact that there are still needs to be met, we have started a GoFundMe with a goal to raise $20,000.

If you are able, please donate to our school! There is no amount too small. If you are unable to donate at this time, it is extremely helpful to share our GoFundMe link on social media and encourage others to donate.

If you have donated already, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Your donation is greatly appreciated! So far we have raised $6,735.00!

Here is the link to our GoFundMe:
Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night!

Come and support our school by having dinner at Chick-Fil-A in the Pelican Plaza!

It really is THAT easy!

When you place your order, just be sure to mention that you are there for LNS Spirt Night and a portion of the sales from your order will go to LNS.
On-Going Fundraisers Sponsored by the PTO

Welcome Message
from Principal,
Ray Wilson
Give a Warm Welcome to our TWO New Assistant Principals!
Jeanine Saddler (Assigned to Grades K-4)

I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as Assistant Principal of Laurel Nokomis. I began my career in education as a 4th grade long term substitute in Ohio where I completed my Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Specialist Education.

After moving to Florida, I pursued a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. Over the past 17 years, I have worked as a Teacher, Teacher Evaluator, and Assistant Principal. I am married to my husband of 17 years and have a beautiful 9-year-old daughter who is currently in fourth grade. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and horseback riding.

I realize the great responsibility that I must inspire, empower, and influence our youth, as well as the opportunity to positively impact the families, staff, and communities in support of our students. I strongly believe students grow and achieve more when they are challenged and surrounded by involved and compassionate adults, both within and outside the walls of the school. LNS houses a community of committed faculty and staff members who are driven by the success of our students. I am privileged to be a part of the amazing LNS Lightning team!
Paula Cimillo (Assigned to Grades 5-6 & ESE Services)

As a former Laurel Nokomis parent, I have fond memories of being a part of the LNS family. Both of my grown children attended here and still speak highly of their teachers and staff from their elementary and middle school days. As a parent I was a member of both the PTO and SAC.

I am very excited for my new venture here at Laurel Nokomis where I can continue not only my professional journey, but where I can rejoin this great school community.
I have previously worked at Sarasota Middle as an Exceptional Student Education Teacher, teaching all core subjects and Reading. While at Sarasota Middle, I also held the positions of ESE Liaison, Gifted Coordinator, Behavior Specialist, TOSA and Assistant Principal for 3 years.

Prior to arriving here at Laurel Nokomis, I was also the Assistant Principal at Venice Middle and Heron Creek Middle School. I look forward to continuing to hone my skills and bring my expertise to Laurel Nokomis.
Even though I may be “new to Laurel Nokomis” there is a feeling of coming home.
