The Disability and Communication Access Board is pleased to announce the Basic ADA Virtual Training Series comprised of six sessions presented by DCAB's Facility Access Specialist, Eric Isidro. Four sessions focus on the 2010 ADA Accessibility Guidelines, one session on Education Facilities, and the last session on the Hawaii Outdoor Developed Areas Accessibility Guidelines (HODAAG), for both entry level and seasoned architects, engineers, and facility managers, wanting to brush up on their ADA Accessibility Guidelines foundation.

- Chapter 7 - Communication Elements and Features
- Chapter 8 - Special Rooms, Spaces, and Elements
- SESSION 4: Wed., Nov. 29, 2023, 10:00 - 11:00 am
- Chapter 9 - Built-in Elements
- Chapter 10 - Recreational Facilities
- EDUCATION FACILITIES: Wed., Dec. 6, 2023, 10:00 - 11:00 am
- Review education facilities in the public and private sectors, including primary and secondary schools, vocational and trade schools, colleges, and universities.
- Review requirements in the ADA Standards, and will cover various spaces and elements in such facilities, including classrooms, parking, dormitories, bathrooms, and other elements.
- HODAAG: Wed., Dec. 13, 2023, 10:00 - 11:00 am
