Dana Point Harbor Hotel Leases Not Listed on September 15 OC Supervisors Board Agenda
The Orange County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
At this time, the Board’s published agenda does not include the three proposed Dana Point Harbor leases for discussion or a vote.
During the Board’s previous meeting, the proposed leases failed to receive the votes required for approval, leaving the matter unresolved. Those following the issue may have expected it to return to the Board on September 15. As of the currently published agenda, it has not.
What does the omission mean?
At this point, DPBA does not know, and we will not speculate.
The absence of the leases from the September 15 agenda tells us only that they do not currently appear among the matters scheduled for Board action at that meeting.
DPBA has continued advocating for boater parity in decisions affecting Dana Point Harbor. We have written to all five Orange County Supervisors, attended Board meetings, and spoken during public comment to make certain the interests and concerns of boaters receive consideration alongside those of other harbor stakeholders.
We encourage every boater and community member interested in Dana Point Harbor to contact their Orange County Supervisor directly. Whether you write, call, or speak during public comment, direct communication gives elected representatives the opportunity to hear from the people affected by decisions concerning Dana Point Harbor.
DPBA will continue following this issue closely and will report significant developments as information becomes available.
Keeping boaters and the broader harbor community informed—and encouraging direct participation in matters that affect the harbor—remains an important part of DPBA’s advocacy.
