Next Week
Meet Republican Candidates
Richard Hayes and Michelle Lopez
| |
Can you believe it is already September? That means we have two more months to campaign for our fabulous Republican candidates and make sure we return a strong Republican majority to the Texas House. This week we are going to be talking to two candidates who, with your help, will be part of that majority.
Michelle Lopez is running in the new HD 45 along the I 35 corridor between Austin and San Antonio, and Richard Hayes is running in Denton County's new HD 57.
Michelle is one of the new generation of Republican women leaders that I've been introducing you to all summer. We are so fortunate that she's stepped up to help us win.
Richard is no stranger to many of us. He's been very active in the Republican Party of Texas and the Denton County Republican party for many years. He is going to be a fantastic asset for conservatives in the Texas House.

This past week, the RNC opened more community centers across the country in Thornton, Colorado, and Issaquah, Washington. We have now opened more than 35 centers that cater to Hispanic , Asian Pacific American, Black, Veteran, Jewish, and Native American communities. Our community centers have forged the way for voters to be heard, engaged, and involved.
On Tuesday, we opened another Asian Pacific American community center in Issaquah, Washington with RNC Co-Chair Tommy Hicks, Washington State Republican Party Chairman Caleb Heimlich, and congressional candidate Matt Larkin (WA-08). The Issaquah center is part of a nationwide strategy from Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel to meet voters where they are - directly in their communities. The Republican Party is a big tent party and is excited to partner with the APA community in Washington to elect Tiffaney Smiley and Republicans up-and-down the ballot.
| |
After cutting the ribbon in Issaquah, Co-Chair Tommy Hicks traveled to Thornton, Colorado on Thursday to celebrate the grand opening of our new Hispanic community center alongside Colorado GOP Chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown, National Committeewoman Vera Ortegon and Colorado General Assemblywoman and congressional candidate Barbara Kirkmeyer. The community center in Colorado is another testament to the Republican party’s investment to earn every Hispanic vote in order to grow our party and catapult Republicans like Joe O’Dea to victory. | Our new centers in Washington and Colorado will be like our other community centers – hybrids between a traditional campaign office and a community gathering place, holding a myriad of events such as Republican Leadership Initiative trainings, potluck dinners, movie nights, faith nights, game nights and much more.

Biden’s Handout To The Rich: Canceling Their Student Debt
"This is Biden's bailout for the wealthy. As hardworking Americans struggle with soaring costs and a recession, Biden is giving a handout to the rich. Biden's bailout unfairly punishes Americans who saved for college or made a different career choice, and voters see right through this short-sighted, poorly veiled vote-buy.” - RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel
What you need to know:
-
On Wednesday, Biden announced his plan to cancel $10,000 of student debt per borrower, a handout to the rich that would cost taxpayers billions and worsen inflation.
-
According to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, Biden’s plan to cancel $10,000 in student debt per person would cost American taxpayers an additional $230 billion.
-
Meanwhile, the Penn Wharton Budget Model estimates the costs of Biden's student loan bailout could exceed $1 trillion.
- Biden’s plan to cancel student loans would bailout the wealthy, worsen inflation, and line the pockets of Democrats and their staffs, all at the expense of the working class.
-
For many low-income borrowers, $10,000 debt cancelation would have "zero impact on their monthly student loan payments."
-
Biden’s plan to cancel student debt would immediately increase inflation and "create additional inflationary pressure over time” which is something Americans cannot afford at a time with already historically high inflation.
-
Over 200 Biden aides and far-left Democrats in Congress who support student debt cancellation, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamaal Bowman, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar, have student loan debt, meaning they stand to directly benefit from Biden’s action.
-
Canceling student loans would penalize those who responsibly budgeted to pay off their loans.
-
Biden’s plan is a "one-time mechanism" which does not address the root problem of the high cost of education.
-
Democrats, like Elizabeth Warren don't care that they are robbing working class families to bail out the rich.
The bottom line:
Americans cannot afford the hundreds of billions in taxpayer dollars that this plan will cost, especially not when inflation is at a historic high and Biden and Democrats passed a bill to raise your taxes during a recession.
Warnock Is Too Extreme For Georgia
Raphael Warnock is a far-left radical whose failed economic policies, soft-on-crime agenda, and anti-energy plans are out of step with Georgia voters.
What you need to know:
- Warnock voted to raise taxes and increase IRS audits on Georgia workers during a recession.
- Warnock's anti-energy policies are slamming Georgia families with higher energy bills.
-
Since Warnock made his way to Washington, D.C., the average family in Georgia has paid an extra $1,500 in energy costs.
- Warnock's soft-on crime policies are making Georgian's less safe.
-
Warnock worked to dismantle part of Atlanta’s jail system.
-
Warnock supports ending cash bail.
-
Warnock has a 100% scorecard rating from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which has called for defunding the police and linked law enforcement to “ slave patrols.”
- Warnock is an abortion radical.
-
Despite 85% of Americans supporting limits on abortion, Warnock voted for and co-sponsored the “Abortion For All Act” – a bill which would enshrine abortion in federal law up until the moment of birth, with effectively no limits, and allow for taxpayer funded abortions.
-
It is no surprise to anyone that Warnock votes in lockstep with Joe Biden more than 96% of the time.
The bottom line:
With 74% of Americans saying the U.S. is on the wrong track, Georgians need to vote Warnock and his radical agenda out in November to get the country back on track.
