Because of your efforts, more kids will receive weekend and school break food packages this school year! We are delighted to again be partnering with Brevard Public Schools to help meet the fundamental need for our children's nourishment. Without proper nutrition, children cannot thrive academically, physically, or emotionally. We are working to ensure that no child in Brevard County goes to school hungry.

During Hunger Action Month, here are some ways to help:

🛒 Hold a food drive – Essential items that help support those in need.

🎉 Adopt A School – Rally your organization's support for a great cause.

💵 Consider a monthly donation – Your contribution directly supports our mission.

“Many households are unable to afford adequate nutrition for the children in their care,” said Cheryl Cominsky, executive director of The Children’s Hunger Project, the grassroots agency laser-focused on feeding Brevard County children at risk of going hungry.

“It’s a staggering statistic,” said Dr. Mark Rendell, superintendent of Brevard Public Schools. “A lot of our families depend on us for basic nutrition. We can’t provide it over the weekends. The Children’s Hunger Project fills in that gap.”

Six (6) drinks $20 in advance on-line only or $30 day of. Come, get monstrous with us. Haunt the Village! Test out your new costume or adjust your old one. No costume required to participate BUT the core group WILL be costumed! Modest prizes for costume contest winners. 50/50 Drawing for TCHP.

Welcome Stephanie Hand, our Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator

Stephanie is passionate about making a meaningful impact in her community. Before becoming a part of The Children’s Hunger Project, she worked as an educator for nine years. She has seen firsthand what hunger can do to a child in school and she is dedicated to working with the community of Brevard to ensure each child is receiving the support they need.

Community Foundation for Brevard

TCHP has been awarded a generous grant of $10,000 by the Community Foundation for Brevard. This funding will play a pivotal role in our mission to provide essential weekend nutrition to at-risk students in BPS elementary schools. More children can receive nutritious food packs to take home on weekends and during school breaks, ensuring they start each week with energy and enthusiasm!

Grant Awarded

With this grant, we're not just filling bellies; we're fueling futures. This funding is a recipe for success, helping our young learners thrive both academically and socially.

LOCAL ALUMNI CHAPTERS FUNDRAISER AT THE INTRACOASTAL BREWING CO.

Recently, a kickoff get-together for the upcoming football season with local Alumni Chapters, benefited TCHP! Ohio State Alumni of Space Coast Florida, Space Coast-Melbourne, FL IOWA Club Space Coast Chapter Penn State Alumni Association and Space Coast Spartans all participated. Many thanks to all who organized, attended and supported!

GFWC VIERA WOMAN'S CLUB COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE

September 28, 9am-12noon

Publix at Addison Center, Viera

September 28 is the GFWC National Day of Service, and Viera Woman's Club is providing an opportunity to donate to TCHP and the Sharing Center of Central Brevard! Shop Publix, or visit our food donations page for items we pack for the kids, or bring any non-perishable food items with unexpired dates, for the Sharing Center of Central Brevard.
