NONPROFIT NEWS FROM NAMC
September 10, 2020
Dear Colleagues,

As we mourn each loss this season from the pandemic, from fires, from violence and more, we feel the loss of being together freely as well. And yet we begin again – called each day to work, to find yet another workaround, to continue to serve and make progress –step by step.

It is such an honor to be your partner and the greatest joy for me each year is the Awards Celebration. We hope you’ll enjoy the way we are using the medium to amplify and deepen the message – with great performances and moving tributes and fun moments – all in just one hour!!! Free!

Please read on for details and great opportunities to connect, collaborate and succeed. Share your thoughts, comments and experiences: namccommittees@gmail.com

May you and your teams and families stay safe and well,

NAMC Impact Report Presentation Monterey County Nonprofits:
Socio-Economic Impact and Insights 2020
We extend our deepest appreciation to everyone who attended our presentation on August 21st!! This was our third economic impact report. Since we had to move everything online, we could tell a more complete story. We are especially indebted to NAMC Core Leader Charlotte Noyes, Noyes Research and Consulting who chaired the project and provided data, Ash Hammad of the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey who provided analysis and infographics, and Mike Buffo of House of 8 Media, our producer. Special thanks to presenters Joe Grainger, Harden Foundation, Chris Lopez, Chair of the Monterey County Board of Supervisors and Francine Rodd, Executive Director of First 5 Monterey County.

We had made so much progress pre-Covid and we continue to learn and make more progress in so many different ways. As Francine Rodd noted so well, we can succeed in the years ahead though we must build our capacity to be ever more creative and strengthen our determination to be ever more collaborative. Our report includes showcase videos of Ariel Theatrical, Community Partnership for Youth, Elkhorn Slough Foundation, Interim, Inc, Sun Street Centers and Digital Nest. For the full presentation – including a powerful performance by Palenke Arts Chorus with soloist Ariana Gutierrez.
