Not thrilled with two pairs of gemstone earrings set in black rhodium and yellow gold, this client asked us to transform these earrings into something bright and more substantial. The existing top half hoop, also pulled on the client's earlobe. A new diamond disc with a centered post was created as a new "top" and the bottom gemstone discs were combined and soldered together, so that the briolette gemstone drops are suspended under the bottom edge of the circular gemstone disc. A bright white rhodium finish was given to all, making the vibrant multi color gems "pop"! |

Tired of these two diamond band rings, which showed much wear and tear, and no longer a fan of yellow gold, this client was looking for a makeover. To forgo the expense of un-setting and resetting so many small diamonds, the diamond disc was carefully cut away from the yellow gold band, gently curved to follow the lines of the white gold band, and soldered on top. All scratches were polished away and a new bright white rhodium finish was applied. The remaining old yellow gold band was applied as a scrap gold credit towards the labor of the transformation. |

GEMSTONE EARRINGS TRANSFORMED INTO A RING |
|
A little worn pair of colorful gemstone earrings set in yellow gold contain the perfect elements to transform into a bold gemstone ring design, after the client had admired an unique ring at a Diamonds On The Key trunk show. A computerized CADD design was created, based on the sample ring, to accommodate the size and number of gemstones and diamonds contained in the earrings. Since the client preferred white gold, the design was cast in this white metal, which also made the multi color gemstones stand out bolder. Another happy & satisfied customer! |
